Glenn Beck Also Seeks Fundamental Change
61If you have seen my profile, you will see that I am a liberal American. This does not mean that I do not read the opinions of others on the other side. Today in Glenn Beck's email he shocked me by claiming that he wanted 'fundamental change' for America.
In 2008, Americans voted for the fundamental change that we so desperately need. The Kingdom of Shrub had totally subverted our nation into something that more resembled a Middle East sheikdom than what we had known our beloved United States of America to be. Torture was tolerated, even encouraged and praised. Illegal detention facilities sprung up to house those against whom nothing had been proven. Wars for oil were the order of the day.
Fortunately for our nation, a great man took the oath of office and restored hope to all Americans who think that we should be a generous, compassionate country. This man made great strides to correct the errors of the previous administration, although there is clearly still work to be done.
This work will be made much more difficult by the election results of November 2010. Already, these upstart Republicans want to reverse the progress that has been made. The first trick up their sleeves is a ridiculous attempt to repeal the health care reform act. Even they admit that the bill can not possibly pass, but they will make the attempt anyway. This is nothing more than political grandstanding, but what can one really expect from a party that has had no new ideas since...since...I'm sorry, I can't recall right offhand the last time they had a good idea. I know they abolished slavery, but surely they had some good ideas after that. I mean, even a stopped clock is right twice a day.
After this stunt is put in its proper place (the circular file), they will undoubtedly try to pass more hopeless legislation which will do little other than to waste the President's time. You would think they would try to support the President in his herculean efforts to get this country back to work. Instead, they scream for tax cuts for the rich before they will even consider giving those who are out of work the assistance they need.
So, Mr. Beck, we are in the process of fundamental transformation for America. The progress we have made so far will be slowed somewhat by the likes of you and Limbaugh and Hannity, but we will ultimately win, much to the relief and delight of all Americans who believe in fairness and equality for all. Mr. Lincoln, the greatest Republican, said it best when he said that all men are created equal.
It would be nice if all the rest of you Republicans would bother to remember that once in a while.

The repugs are attacking, taking a break from our prez and labeling you. It is their tatic, they admitted that all the hub-bub about the health care plan was lies, but it got them elected.....to fabricate more lies from a position of power....where they hope to stalemate the prez for two more years. If their party was so great, why did bushes eight years almost bankrupt us??
